CONCERTO FOR FOUR SOLO HORNS AND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Composed for the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and first performed by
them with soloists Radek Baborak, Stanislav Suchanek, Ondrej Vrabec, and
Zdenek Divoky, conducted by Vladimir Valek, in the Dvorak Hall of the
Rudolfinum, Prague, Czech Republic, on 28th February 2002 (this is the performance in the video).

This work was specially composed for virtuoso violinist, Rupert Marshall-Luck, for recording for
YouTube, with Central England Camerata, leader Anna Downes, directed by Anthony Bradbury, in
the Countess of Huntingdon Hall, Worcester, on 21st August 2022, filmed and recorded by Paul Baker.

CONCERTO FOR TREBLE RECORDER AND STRING ORCHESTRA
On
April 16th 2023, as part of Andrew Downes' Year of Remembrance, James
Risdon, with Central England Camerata (Leader Anna Downes, Musical
Director Anthony Bradbury) recorded the Concerto at the Vada Recording
Studios at Cookhill Priory, Alcester. Paula Downes created an
accompanying film of sunflower fields (Andrew Downes' favourite
flowers) for the launch of the recording on YouTube on August 7th 2023.
